The Akash Institute of Medical Science and Research Centre is
a centre of excellence for learning, teaching and patient
care. Whether it is the undergraduate MBBS or postgraduate
programmes or research in basic or clinical sciences, our
faculty aims to provide an environment where students and
researchers are empowered to seek solutions to today's health
care challenges. The undergraduate MBBS and postgraduate
courses follow the RGUHS and NMC guidelines. Our foundations
for great medical education are rooted in basic science,
clinical experience and in-depth research, and deep curriculum
implementation.
The student doctors get to study under the guidance of expert
faculty and world-renowned speakers. Experts from the industry
share their knowledge on how to equip their students with
necessary skills for a successful career in medicine. The
research cell is responsible for various initiatives and
partnerships to support budding clinicians and researchers
The professors deploy a variety of innovative interactive learning methods such as e-learning modules, student assessments, and standardized patients and simulators, through the Medical Education Unit. Traditional learning methods such as lectures in the classroom, practical lessons, seminars, and small group activities continue to be significant in student learning. Faculty are nationally recognized for teaching and research in medicine. Students have many opportunities to engage with medical professionals through community clinics, practice settings, simulation teaching laboratories, and enrichment activities.
The application of learning components of hospital safety,
waste management, and safe medication communication are
constantly applied. Postgraduates receive specialized
instruction in research methodology and statistical analysis,
which will benefit them in their future professions.
The Skill labs provide training in the form of simulations and
tissue dissections, emphasizing their scientific foundation.
