The growth of specialization within paediatrics has taken a number of different forms of interests in problems of age groups of children have created neonatology and adolescent medicine, paediatric cardiology, nephrology, gastroenterology, child psychiatry, pulmonology, endocrinology, rheumatology and genetics.
