As the Head of Psychiatry Department, Dr. Suresh.V.C leads our team in delivering comprehensive mental health care, fostering a supportive environment for patients, and advancing psychiatric research and education. He pursed MBBS from Shri Devaraj Urs Medical College, Kolar and MD Psychiatry from National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS).
With more than a decade of experience in clinical psychiatry and mental health administration, he combines expertise in Geriatric Psychiatry, De-addiction and Child Psychiatry with dedication to improving patient outcomes.
His approach is centered on evidence – based treatments and compassionate care. He is committed to integrating innovative therapeutic techniques, supporting mental wellness programs, and advancing psychiatry through ongoing research and community outreach.
Under his leadership, the Department of Psychiatry is known for its collaborative and multidisciplinary approach with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic path to mental wellbeing. He has numerous scientific papers published both in national and international journals.
In addition to patient care, Dr.Suresh is actively involved in activities of Indian Psychiatric Society – Karnataka Chapter. He currently holds the post of Hon. Joint Secretary of IPS-KC and the Assistant Editor of Journal of Psychiatry Spectrum. He is also the Treasurer of IMA, Doddaballapur branch. He is also the member of Instituitional Ethics Committee.
